First Class Assignment
This First assignment was about reviewing some Art I concepts while taking a look at still life artwork. The First thing we did was review concepts such as two point perspective which went well expect for a lack of shading, I then drew a pair of laced shoes to the best of my ability, then a hand which could be improved by a better use of proportions. I think this is a good starting point but im excited to improve over the following semester.
Assessment Drawings
Shading and value sketches
Lego Perspective
During Class I made a Lego structure which contained several different surfaces which was difficult to draw. The drawing could've used some improvements on proportions but I think it came out good for my skill level.
1,2, and 3 Point perspective
Pen and Ink
This artwork pen and ink was a perspective piece that used depth and 2 point perspective to create an imagine of an indie car race. I believe I performed well and improved from my last project but did seem to lack on my ability to provide depth.

Pen and Ink Techniques
The Pen and Ink technique drawings where something I haven't done before. I believe the different textures was interesting and I learned how to draw fur, wood, and rock textures. Practicing these drawings will help me with my final drawing.
Prismacolor Colored Pencils (Cupcake)
The Prismacolor cupcake project is my favorite project so far because it requires some thought when thinking about the different colors needed to make a balanced image. I think I could greatly improve if made a better more realistic looking ice cream cone. Besides the cone I am really happy how my project came out.

Describe the craftsmanship of your drawing. (Is it neat and well executed?)
The craftsmanship of my drawing is neat and well executed.
Do you think you used a full range of values to create the illusion of depth?
I did use a full range of values to create the illusion of depth in the flower's center and petals.
How do you think you represented the style of the artist Georgia O’ Keeffe?
I think i represented Georiga O' Keeffe's style with my use of abstract colors and shapes.
Describe your choice of colors/color harmonies and how you used them throughout the artwork.
I choose cool colors like blues and purples to contrast the warm colors used in the petals to give the piece some depth. I blended a lot of colors in an attempt to give the colors variation and go away from any solid colors.
How did you create contrast in your drawing?
I used warm and cool colors to create contrast in my drawing.
How did you use textures, highlights and shadows to enhance your artwork?
I used textures, highlights, and shadows to give the different materials different textures give the art work some style and depth.
Describe any difficulties you had creating your drawing and what you could do to improve your drawing?
I found it difficult to get around to creating the piece because ill get up at 8 work on the 4 essays due for my ap class and be done at 5 with no energy to work on something creative like this.

Photography (Tell A Story)
Warm Up
This was an interesting photo to take and i made sure to consider the grid rules and the rule of three.
Final Project
Photo 1: The image of the track gear is meant to show the spring track season. The gear is under my bed which is where it is stored because it is not in heavy use. Normally my track gear is in my bag but because of the pandemic it is under my bed. The track season was canceled with only one meet before we left school.
Photo 2: The image of the car Is meant to show how long it has been since i have used it. The car has pollen all over it and appears dirty, the camper in the background is import as well because I travel with it every year to the beach which is a huge deal for me. Due to the Corona Virus i will not be going this year and that is greatly disappointing. I would have already started preparing for the trip.
Photo 3: The image of the tomato plant is meant to show the growth of my garden. I planted a garden shortly before the pandemic started and I have been working on it with my mother keeping it weeded and watered. The reason why i took a photo of the tomato plant's flower was to show that the plant has grown and is beginning to flower and will start producing soon. The reason why i picked all three of these stories is because they go in order of the pandemic 'time line'.

Getty Museum
This art project taught me to use creativity in order to replicate an image. I chose this painting because it appeared to have similar items to what i have around my house. I was creative by using plastic bags as blue background because that's all i had in that color of blue. I was difficult to get the apple to stay in their places and it was also a challenge to find all of the different items that look close enough to the art work.
Object Drawings
Three Sketches
I Chose the bottles of sand because i thought it made a statement. There are ships in a bottle but instead I put the beach inside of the bottle and the ships drawn on the outside. The idea was in my head as soon as I saw the bottles on my shelf. It took awhile to come up with the idea of stormy weather to add to the ship feel of the piece.
